If you like: The Beatles, Revolver is essential in your collection.
About: The seventh studio album by The Beatles is, in my humble opinion, the greatest Beatles album (and perhaps one of the greatest of all time). As timeless as it was groundbreaking, Revolver elegantly showcases the band’s creative prowess–yet again renewing their position as contrarian to the oversaturated commercialism that flooded pop music of the era.
Why it’s worth your time: Revolver is quite simply a masterpiece. So much so that its influence is infinite on today’s psych rock numbers. Choose just about any track and you’ll hear something that could’ve very well been released but yesterday. To pair with this ever-relevant quality is the stellar cover by Klaus Voormann (that he was only paid £40 for creating).
